Christopher Crawford
As Chief Investigator for SKS Investigations LLC, Christopher Crawford has an investigative services career that spans over 30 years of experience gained in both military and civilian law enforcement.
In the mid-80’s, Crawford started his career as a Special Agent in the U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Services (CGIS). After serving 27 years of active duty and reserve service, he attained the rank of Senior Chief Investigator. His internal investigations work in the CGIS included personnel background investigations, as well as human smuggling and drug smuggling investigations. He performed countless protective service operations for high-level government officials, and since 9/11, Crawford completed several active duty deployments that included a one-year assignment with an international human smuggling task force.
Crawford’s civilian law enforcement career began in the early 90’s as a Corrections Officer, and later, he accepted a position with a municipal police department. He gained experience as a member of the Major Case Squad and the Special Victims Unit, serving as both a Detective and Officer-in-Charge. He effectively resolved hundreds of violent crimes cases, as well as dozens of officer-involved shooting investigations. For over ten years, Crawford was assigned to the SWAT team and held positions as both an Operator and Team Leader. He was involved in hundreds of successful SWAT operations to include numerous dignitary protection operations. Prior to retirement, Crawford was assigned to the Public Corruption Task Force at the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office, where he conducted investigations regarding corrupt government officials.
Specialized Training
Crawford has completed thousands of hours of formal investigative training in the areas of homicide, narcotics, child abuse, sex crimes, interrogations, statement analysis, crimes against the elderly, maritime smuggling, intelligence gathering, fraud, officer involved shooting investigations and justified use of force, and protective service operations.
Citations & Acknowledgments
During his Coast Guard career, Crawford received an “Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer Award” from the United States Attorney’s Office and upon retirement was decorated with the Coast Guard Commendation Medal for his investigative accomplishments.
During both his military and civilian law enforcement careers, Crawford has testified before both State and Federal Grand Juries, criminal trials, and suppression hearings, and was instrumental in providing investigative support to prosecutors working on hundreds of case preparations. Crawford has been deemed an expert witness in his field by both State and Federal Courts.
The Palm Beach Post named Crawford as a “dogged detective” when his investigative efforts brought a drug dealer to justice for the overdose murder of a local young man.
In 2007, Crawford was named Detective of the Year by the Boynton Beach Police Department, after resolving several unrelated murders in a short period of time.
As Chief Investigator for SKS, Crawford continues to earn client respect for his honest commitment and cost- effective approach to providing investigative services and for delivering information and evidence that is useful to SKS clients.
Suzanne Crawford
Suzanne Crawford completed over 21 years of honorable service with the Boynton Beach Police Department, where she rose through the ranks to Assistant Chief of Police.
Suzanne served in various positions in her career to include Traffic Homicide Investigator, Criminal Investigator, Public Information Officer, Commander of Internal Affairs, Commander of Patrol Division and Commander of Investigative Services.
Throughout her career, she earned numerous awards and commendations related to police operations.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree is Forensic Accounting. Suzanne has extensive experience in fraud investigations and managerial oversight.
